“I want to live in a city that values and embraces all people and creates opportunity and a pathway to a bright future for everyone. I want people to dream big and know they can make those dreams come true here.”
My vision for District 2 is informed by the progressive working-class values that were instilled in me by my parents: equality of opportunity, respect and acceptance of all others regardless of their background, and bringing people together to solve problems. Those values were reinforced during my many years as a member of the Machinists Union, and by the almost decade I spent tirelessly advocating for my neighbors while working at Boston City Hall as the South End and Bay Village Neighborhood Coordinator, Mayoral Liaison to the LGBTQ Community and the Director of Boston’s Rental Housing Resource Office. I believe now is the right time for me to put all of my experience together to work for you as your City Councilor. I will be your outspoken voice, wherever it is needed, putting the people of our district first.
My focus will be on connecting the district’s neighborhoods by bringing residents together to help create solutions to our shared challenges; advancing an agenda that brings services, resources and funding to the district and; and ensuring that every day my staff and I will put the people of District 2 first. Together, we will work on the partnerships and solutions required to move forward a comprehensive agenda that aspires to improve quality of life for all.
